Pretends to be a beer expert (just cos he happens to work for Guinness as a beer taster), but drinks lager (or Guinness to prove that the stuff he helps make is a quality product). Will not go near warm beer such as bitter or mild. Ask him about the brewing industry & he will tell you (at great length if you let him !), but with an obvious bias to the greatness of Guinness. Capacity for alcohol is considerable, usually finishing off the night with a few malt whiskys. Usual habitat - The Carnarvon Castle, Liverpool. Mike P's 'reluctance to make any effort at all in travelling on a Thursday.....' can be entirely blamed on The Liverpool Friday Night Boys, for which Vinnie is the ringleader (but not the founder). A whiz at pub quizzes, full of lots of useless information."
