Familiarity breeds contempt, and every once in a while, the Thursday Nighters make a supreme effort, and put quality before convenience. This happened in late 2001, when the lads tired of supping the same old Lees every week in The Brook, and decamped to Altrincham in search of a nicer pint, a less jaded landlord, and the occasional lock-in.
